Stony beaches (17 of them awarded with Blue Flag), interesting vegetation (Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia-mastic tree; Pittosporum tobira), Mediterranean architecture and monuments of Unesco (Daphne, Josios Lucas and Neos Lucas monasteries) is giving the island of Chios an identity that is difficult to describe in words! The list of vegetation that can be and is used in our geographical conditions is long enough!
