The new terminal of Bourgas Airport was completed in 2013 as part of the Fraport Twin Star Airport Management (www.fraport-bulgaria.com) and Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Bulgaria on the requirements of ICAO and FIDIC Silver Book (EPC / Turnkey contract) and on a project by Pascal and Watson (www.pascalls.co.uk) and Halcrow Group (www.halcrow.com). As part of the Schuessler-plan ingenieurgesellschaft mbh team (www.schuessler-plan.de) together with colleagues from the Porsch concept (www.apc.bg) and Se-g architekten (www.se-g.com) we have administrated the construction process, we carried out investment and quality control (site supervision), we prepared the list with flaws during the construction of the New Passenger Terminal at Bourgas Airport (built-up area of 19 800 square meters of external asphalt and pavement area of about 66 000 square meters and an accompanying infrastructure). As every object of this scale, there were some problems, but together with the constructor of the TIE-ICHTAS consortium and the Contracting authority, the project was opened in time and the results justified the investment with an increase in the passenger flow for the exact same season!
