Family House, Berkovitsa
The project presents a modern two-story single-family house located in the “Begovitsa” neighborhood of Berkovitsa, positioned directly beside the Berkovska River and surrounded by panoramic views of the Balkan Mountains. The building is freely situated within the plot and fully complies with the requirements of the detailed development plan. Its three distinct volumes – two prismatic bodies and one low connecting element – form a characteristic silhouette and a coherent functional composition.
The main volumes feature independent entrances, spacious living areas with panoramic glazing, fireplaces, sanitary rooms, and comfortable second-floor bedrooms. The central volume unites the home through a generous living and dining space, seamlessly connected to the kitchen via glass elements. A south-facing terrace opens toward the “Funiyata” locality, creating a natural transition between the interior and the surrounding landscape.
The house is designed with a wooden structure on a reinforced concrete base, incorporating high-performance insulation, triple glazing, and a ventilated roof system. The project includes air-to-air heat pumps for heating and cooling, reliable utility installations, two parking spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas that complement the architectural vision.
